[edit] Madge SinclairMadge Dorita Sinclair was born in 1938 in Kingston is one of the internationally known Jamaican film actresses. She won the Emmy award for her role as Belle in the miniseries Roots. During the 1980s she was playing at the Trapper John, M.D series in the role of nurse Ernestine Shoop. Madge received three Emmy nominations for her work on the series. In 1988 Madge Sinclair participated in the Eddie Murphy comedy Coming to America. Her role as Queen Aoleon gained her more popularity. Later, in 1994, she was Sarabi, Simba’s mother, in the blockbuster Disney animated film The Lion King. Lion King was one of the top selling Disney movies and one of the most popular home movies in this genre. Madge also played in the series Gabriel's Fire and got her Emmy award in 1991 for Best Actress in a Dramatic Series. The Jamaican actress also had a small role as the captain of the USS Saratoga in Star Trek IV. Madge Sinclair died in 1995 of leukemia. In California, USA. She was buried in her native Jamaica. [edit] Personal LifeThe parents of Madge Sinclair were Herbert Walters and Jemima Walters. Her father was entrepreneur who managed to give his family a comfortable living. The actress even says that they were among the rich people of Jamaica several times. However she confesses that there were times of poverty when they were had nothing to eat. This kind of life had effect on her personality and her qualities as an actor. She is mainly good at drama movies that won her several awards. He is mainly known for his work in the television, including the role of the primary villain Apophis in the first four seasons of Stargate SG-1. Peter Williams also played in big screen movies such as Catwoman and Chronicles of Riddick. Two years before the start of Stargate SG-1 series, Peter Williams participated in Jungleground movie. He was playing along three other actors - Torri Higginson, JR Bourne and Lexa Doig. The latest film in which Peter Williams appeared is A Winter Tale (2007).
